Microsoft 365 Engineer

 

We are expanding and seeking a Microsoft 365 Engineer for a remote opportunity.

 

About the Client

The client supports individuals with disabilities or chronic illnesses and aging adults, to remain in their homes and communities and “self” direct their own long-term home care.  The clients role as a Financial Management Service provider is to assist those eligible Medicaid recipients to choose and pay for their own support workers and services within their state-approved personalized budget.  The client is appointed by states and managed healthcare organizations to better serve more of their residents and members requiring long-term care and ensure the efficient use of taxpayer funded services.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Configuration, maintenance and support of all M365 services (Exchange Online, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint Online, Power-BI, Power Automate etc.).
  • Provide technical expertise around all M365 services, including process, standards and best practices for the platform
  • Technical management of O365 Exchange Online, providing expertise around Email Security including DMARC, DKIM, SPF etc.
  • Technical management of Teams including telephony; assigning of DDI’s, setting up call routing and assisting of Live Events.
  • Technical management of SharePoint Online, working closely with the site administrators
  • Supporting the provision of Power Platform environments, working closely with the application support team
  • Assist with dashboarding, compliance and reporting within O365
  • Partnering with vendors, IT Security and Compliance to ensure data protection and data loss prevention strategies
  • Assist with migrating on premis services to M365
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers and other IT professionals for incident and problem resolution
  • Participate in process design and tool selection ensuring compliance with HIPAA, SOC II, and information security policy and procedures
  • Participate in relevant project technical reviews and audits
  • Act as a backup resource to the Identity and Access Management Engineer
  • Author and update technical documentation, runbooks, ops guides, and presentations when needed.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of existing and emerging Office 365 and related core technologies

 

 Required Skills:

  • Self-motivated professional with at least 8 years of experience in IT industry with major focus in cloud computing
  • Senior-level administration experience with Microsoft Office 365 Exchange Online.
  • Email Security and Office 365 (O365) subject matter expert
  • Experience of using M365 Security and Compliance portal
  • Strong knowledge of PowerShell Scripting and other scripting languages
  • Strong knowledge of Office Applications: Outlook, OneNote, Excel, Word and PowerPoint and their integration points with SharePoint Online
  • Experience in Azure Active Directory Synchronisation processes. (joining machines, policy administrator, InTune Management)
  • Awareness of Power Platforms
  • Security and Compliance experience with SOC2, HIPPA and information security policies and
  • procedures
  • Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
  • Experience of dealing with incident, problem and change management processes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with a customer service orientation. 

 

 Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s (or equivalent industrial experiences) degree in Computer Science or equivalent engineering discipline

Experience: 8+ years of hands on experience in M365 configuration and support

 

Compensation:

This is a contract 1099 position starting at $65 per hour our hourly W-2 position starting at $60 per hour.


 

Sr. Cloud Network Engineer

 

 

We are expanding and seeking a Sr. Cloud Engineer for a remote opportunity.

 

About the Client

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages clients converged communications infrastructure through day-to-day hands-on tasks.
  • Maintains office networks, including diagnostic/troubleshooting any network-related issues using automatic and manual monitoring.
  • Prioritizes and escalates issues to support teams as defined in governing procedures.
  • Performs periodic architecture reviews and updates.
  • Documents all network and voice configurations.
  • Follows best practice ITIL process, seeking continuous improvement of systems and processes. Act proactively to identify areas for improvement.
  • Records and tracks support incidents and requests. Escalate if necessary, and ensure that all decisions and actions taken, through to the final resolution have been captured.
  • Tests fixes to ensure that problems have been adequately resolved.
  • Reviews IT vendors’ proposals and invoices to ensure that contracted services are being delivered and managed in the most cost-effective manner possible.
  • Researches and recommends software, hardware, and tools to meet business objectives
  • Assists less experienced peers.
  • Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available network solutions across a hybrid, cloud environment.
  • Skills to automate infrastructure deployments across multiple data centers and cloud platforms.
  • Participate in on-call rotations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Azure networking and security services including FrontDoor, Application Gateways, Load Balancers, Azure Firewall, Web Application Firewall, Virtual WAN, Vnets, and VPN Gateways. 
  • Experience with network industry enterprise network products.
  • Experience with the necessary technology.
  • Ability to learn new technologies without formal training.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong documentation skills. 
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong proficiency in using and administering network and application monitoring.
  • Strong Terraform/Powershell/Shell scripting experience.
  • Ability to work off-hours or be on-call if required by management

 

Qualifications:

  • Education:  4-year degree or an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, and experience
  • Experience:  6+ years of experience as a network engineer working in Azure.
  • 6+ Years of experience as a network infrastructure engineer to manage Fortinet, Switches, MPLS circuit, Net bond, Express-route, WAF, Shield, Front door, Gateways, F5, Load balancer, VPN solutions.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and frameworks: ITIL, SOC1, SOC2, NIST, ISO 27001
  • Handles the most complex issues and problems.
  • Possesses expert knowledge of the subject matter.
  • Certification:  Cisco, Avaya, or other Converged Communications preferred
  • Azure Associate/Professional/Specialty level
  • Network industry level – CCNA/CCNP/CCIE 
  • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v.3

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Provide Stable, Secure, and Efficient IT Operations for the Azure Cloud environment
  • Support day to day operations on core infrastructure services: Windows Servers, Domain Controllers, Virtual Desktops, Active Directory (AD), Group Policies, DNS, SSL, SFTP, SMTP, Data Protection, File Server/Azure File Shares, Monitoring, Patching
  • Support day to day operations on Azure PaaS & SaaS services
  • Develop and manage IT cloud infrastructure including capacity planning, disaster recovery systems and cost management
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility
  • Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate plans for investing in IT cloud infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities
  • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, respond to, and resolve problems affecting cloud systems performance, efficiency, and availability
  • Contribute to an environment that emphasizes trust, open communication, creative thinking & cohesive team effort
  • Author and update technical documentation, runbooks, ops guides, and presentations when needed
  • Manage multiple cloud environments and support audit, compliance requests 
  • Work closely with application development and data engineer teams on day-to-day tasks along with project planning and implementation
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for infrastructure systems in a 7x24 environment 
  • Participate in on-call rotations

Required Skills

 

  • Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals and components: load balancers, SSL certificates, TCP/IP, firewalls
  • High degree of knowledge in Identify and Access Management, Azure Active Directory, Roles and Policies
  • High degree of knowledge in IT security, compliancy standards and frameworks: ITIL, SOC1, SOC2, NIST, ISO 27001
  • Experience working directly with enterprise change control systems (Jira Service Management preferred)
  • Experience with migrating infrastructure to Azure cloud
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills to resolve issues & perform root cause analysis to ensure defects are engineered out of the environment
  • Experience with Configuration Management tools
  • Experience with scripting, automation: PowerShell, JSON, Python, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM)
  • Excellent organization, time management, problem solving, & analytical skills

 

Qualifications

 

Education:

4-year degree or an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, and experience

Experience:

6+ years of experience as systems engineer working in Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Desktops, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure Active Directory, Azure Automation, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
 6+ years of experience working with Microsoft technologies including Domain Controllers, AD, DNS, DFS Namespace, File Servers/Azure File Shares, SFTP Servers, SMTP, Windows Servers.
 5+ years of experience as a systems engineer supporting Windows Server OS
 5+ years of experience configuring monitoring and alerts for cloud resource availability
 2+ years of experience working in environment having different Azure based PaaS & SaaS services
 

Certification:

Azure Administrator Associate  

Microsoft Certified Systems Expert  

IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v.3
